Life lessons of a Lunar white baggy top.
Number 1: you can never have too many white tops. End of story. Jokes, there’s more….
The daily struggles of a working woman
I’ve spent the last two years working and attempting to master the feeling of comfiness while also looking smart enough for a meeting, on top of not getting sore feet while driving through traffic.
This is a blog post dedicated to all flattering white shirts that make your day easier. I’m referring to the days you happen to eat a Tonka Bean donut, a scoop of ice-cream (or two), a Fournos chocolate croissant and a Caprese salad (because you’re trying to be healthy, duh).
What I’ve come to realise is that not everyone else will share in my excitement over a baggy, white, 100% cotton, locally made top. Some will call me a sick patient in a hospital gown. Others will say I look like a pregnant woman….but that’s fine. Because the real fans out there will know the true value of a white shirt.
Who needs to worry about flabby arms when you can wear a loose fitting t-shirt. Or scratches on your back from playing with your cat (jokes I don’t touch cats I just snapchat them).
Life has taught me you can never say no to a elegant cut top, especially when it’s on the Lunar end of season sale! Which takes me to my next point; buying classic pieces on a sale. It kind of makes you feel like you’ve won the fashion lottery.
I love feeling as comfortable as possible but at the same time stylish. I often go through days where I don’t feel like leaving the house, but the real world makes you. It’s days like those that I rely on simplistic clothes like this cotton top with skinny jeans and a small heel. It might sound odd to some but they give me the confidence boost I need.
Plus wearing big glasses also hides your face. And that’s the main lesson I’ve learnt – you won’t always feel good about yourself but you can buy clothes that make you look better.
Top: Lunar / Jeans: Zara / Heels: Woolworths (long-ago) / Bag: Espadril (free with any pair of shoes) / Sunglasses: Miu-Miu
Here’s to feeling fresh and keeping it simple.
