Here’s a quick look back on some of my Friday favourites for summer. From the ultimate strappy espadrille to the perfect lace bra (obviously had to feature) and more.
This beauty of a bra is handmade in Cape Town (support local people) and comes in a variety of classic colours. Although definitely better suited to smaller busts the pieces are delicate and can make every girl feel special.
Ever since I discovered Soludos I fell for Spanish inspired espadrille shoes. Going on a web hunt I found these bad boys, which happen to also be local – yay.
The brand’s called Espadril and they are a South African based company with ties to Spain as well. I bought these from Superbalist but they’re out of stock at the moment. My other favourite is this pair here – how cute are the flamingos?
A comfy heel? Never. Yes actually. They’re leather, so they’re comfy and durable but they’re also cool for when the weather gets a bit cooler.
They also come in a light brown, find them from Country Road in Woolworths here.
I stumbled across this leather store in 44 Stanley called Colony. Now the only Colony I know is a horrible bar in Craighall, needless to say this is so much better.
They sell mostly male leather goods with the essence being traditional leather and material partnerned with contemporary design. Shop their goods here.
Another South African product, Africology is not only beautifully packaged but smells great. Not being a fan of strong scents or fragrances this stuff has the perfect amount of everything.
Although I wouldn’t recommend the shampoo and conditioner if you have oily hair as it’s got a lot of natural oils in, which for me just isn’t necessary.
My favourite product is the body balm (bottom right), its a lovely texture, great for eczema and you can use in your bath as an oil. Shop here.
HMxBalmain launched last year and people want mad. Read more about it here.
I napped this simple white t-shirt and this distinct braided top.
