Friday Favourites: winter wrap up

winter wrap up

So I started doing an Instagram feature called “Friday Favourites” way back in April! Anyway things got hectic at work, catching up after my travels, and then with changing jobs and all I lost track of it.

Anyway now with the Southern Hemisphere going into summer I thought I would do a wrap up of the few Friday Favourites I did manage to feature from April as a winter series. Going forward I’m going to try make it more regular and do a monthly wrap up featuring my favourite things, so keep an eye open for more.

It’s pretty clear how much I love lace lingerie or lingerie in general. I picked up this pink bra at Cotton On a few month back and am still as obsessed with it. Cotton On have super cute, and totally affordable, bras and underwear in a variety of cuts, patterns and fabrics. Their sports clothing is also really great, particularly their training bras, which are well made if you need extra support.

Pocket Perfume is this cool local South African brand that sells perfume in a pocket sized bottle, which is made to fit into your handbags or even your suit pocket. They do male and female scents and are reasonably priced so it’s worth buying a few and placing in different bags. These two pictured are my favourite and you can shop them here: Pink – Candy, Blue – Afterglow

Every winter season I buy at least one pair of good quality winter shoes, something classic that will stand the test of time. These storm grey ankle boots from Country Road were this years’ buy. The leather is super soft and great quality (obviously my first concern) and has a small heel which is the perfect level to help with posture. Apparently a completely flat or very high shoes can ruin your back in the long run so I try to look out for a bit of a heel when I do buy shoes.

You’ll find these exact boots and similar ones on my Currently Craving list here.

I found these two pieces at a market in Buenos Aires, Argentina and really loved that they were handmade. It’s always such a nice feeling buying from the local people who run small businesses. Every time I wear these bangles I think back to traveling through South America and stopping at all the markets along the way. Although you won’t be able to find the exact same ones online I’ve found similar pieces here, here and here.

Keep updated with my Friday Favourites on my Instagram here or search for the hashtag #TLMfridayfavourites.
