You don’t have to look like a tampon in all white. Go for ‘ice princess’ instead and show people you own something other than black.
Choose a day you’re not planning on drinking red wine or eating spaghetti bolognaise. Once you’ve set on that play with different shades of white and add some colour with small elements. I chose to do this with these grey ankle boots, which also feature on my winter shoe list here. I took off the leather sling from my bag, which I also styled in Sao Paulo here, and used it as a clutch bag. I’m super lame because I get so excited when I get a different use out of one item… This white winter knit is pure wool, which I love because I really believe in investing in quality pieces, particularly jerseys that can last a couple of winters. The only issue is that one of the things I’m most allergic to, because of eczema, is wool and therefore lanolin (the oil from wool that you’ll find in sooo many beauty products it’s ridiculous). So it means sticking to the winter white theme and wearing a white long sleeve top underneath so not to detract from the all white look.
Let me know how you style your winter white (or just all white) look?
