Throughout most of my trip in South America I was in a daze from all the amazing street art. So much so I was inspired to wear a colourful skirt that almost camouflaged me into the bustling city. Pairing the patterned mini with a plain white t-shirt and a leather backpack, which I picked up at market in La Paz (more on this and my leather obsession later). This colourful skirt is my way of slowly moving towards colour, pattern and print. Even though basics and neutral tones will always be my thing! It’s amazing what a bit of colourful print can do for a look. If you’re like me, and not so adventurous with print, then it’s important to balance prints with plain colours so that the print stands out without clashing. Naturally a go-to white t-shirt is my favourite way of balancing a colourful skirt and bold pattern. These particular pictures were taken in a suburb called San Telmo in Buenos Aires – a city I’ve fallen head over heels for. It’s probably because it reminds me a lot of Europe with a strong New York/big city feel but with the added bonus of a South American flare (insert the dancer with red dress emoji – only the best emoticon everrrr). Basically what I’m trying to say is that if you’re ever in Argentina make sure you go to Buenos Aires, I’ll do a post more on the city later.
Let me know what you think of my (slow) move to colourful pieces?
