It’s rainy, it’s cold, it’s cloudy, it’s Cape Town. So I added a pop of colour to my fight-the-miserable-weather outfit. I’ve always been told that because of my skin tone I can’t wear red clothes, my cheeks end up looking like tomatoes and it’s all down hill from there. But hey I love how much red stands out so I often go for red accessories and small other details.
I like how even on a cold day any pop of colour gives the hint that spring is on its way. I thought this parka jacket is quite cute with the leaf details and I love this shade of green because I feel as if anyone can pull it off. What’s also great is how the parka has draw strings inside that shape one’s body nicely, giving some curves to a wintery outfit as apposed to frumpy layers.
I’ve had these skinny cargo pants for a while now and I still love them, they add a bit more to an outfit than a traditional pair of jeans. Kinda like an urban-safari feel. I also took them on a safari adventure earlier this year, they were ideal for cold night drives where skinny jeans aren’t as durable.
What’s your favourite pop of colour to add to an outfit and how do you style it?
